Data Harvest

Product Description

Ideal for measuring small accelerations such as change of g investigations e.g. free fall, golf swings.

The low g 3-Axis Accelerometer measures forces in the range of ±10.0 g or ±100.0 ms-2.

The sensor can record Acceleration along a single axis i.e. X, Y or Z, Resultant force (sum of X + Y + Z), Vibration and Angle making this a very versatile sensor.

Teaching applications:
  • Acceleration forces in Bungee jumps
  • Study of free fall
  • Opposing forces in collisions
  • Earthquake simulations

Extension and advanced ideas:
  • Measurement of angle vs. another process (e.g. angle of insolation vs. temperature)
  • Earthquake stability models
  • Damping of vibration
  • Centripetal force
  • Change of forces in a pendulum
  • Acceleration of a lift

Can I Improve my putting? (Science in Sport (11-18) eBook)
Not all sport is about higher, faster, stronger. Often it is about technique. Modern technology can either monitor and record performance for later analysis or give you a profile to practical against and emulate. Here we model a putting trainer. Putt a golf ball to a target.

Can I improve my putting (Science in Sport (11-18) eBook)
Practice your technique against a "best profile" get the muscle memory developed. Model of how technology can act as the third coach.
